The Grand Hall

The Enlightenment is also called The Age of Enlightenment. The sparks that light the ideas in the mind of man was the catalyst behind the major philosophical movement. The concept of “light” is the inspiration for Palais de Chine’s Grand Hall, which is modeled after L'Opera de Paris. The elegant “fabric” ceiling was made with some 36,000 bronze plates welded together by hand. The result is a beautiful radiant canopy that has all of the reflective qualities of metal, but with the delicate nature of fabric. Sixteen chandeliers hang from the ceilings, creating an ambiance that gently reflects the warm glow of the bronze ceiling down to the floor.
